I just found out that Dave Allen has died. He was a very funny man, and I was wondering, only a few weeks ago, what he’d been up to recently.
I remember sitting with my grandparents years ago (I was still in primary school at the time) watching his BBC TV ‘comeback’ series. I had never seen anything or anyone funnier in my life. His comic observations were so astute, entertaining and profound they affected my young self deeply. I have been a fan ever since.
I hope wherever he is now, his God is with him.
