Just seen a preview showing of The Incredibles and I can assure you it is the greatest superhero movie ever made.
It’s almost definitely going to force the superhero writers of the next couple of years to ‘up their game’. Brad Bird, the writer, has taken all sorts of standard superhero storytelling devices and done really interesting things with them, and as a result readers of DC and Marvel’s top characters won’t be happy seeing the same old stuff trotted out again and again.
