On the way back from the shops a minute ago I happened across a funeral procession at the bottom of my street. At the head of the line was a hearse, just as you’d expect, but then immediately behind it was a ten piece marching band, and the coffin was in a horse drawn carriage.
The deceased must have been very local for the route to be taking in little streets like this one. I wish I knew who the lady was.
Anyway it was a very nice send off.
